This is going to sound incredibly melodramatic but I’ve been thinking a lot lately and I’m pretty sure I’ve come to the conclusion that the only way to accept something that is life-alteringly, out-of-your-control shitty is to just force yourself to think about it, cry yourself sick over it, let it run through your mind over and over and over and over again, and then let it mean nothing to you. Straight up make yourself numb to it…sort of like staring at a word for a really long time until it becomes a meaningless string of letters.

Make that shit meaningless.
